Military Sealift Command’s fleet replenishment oiler USNS Leroy Grumman (T-AO 195) served as the logistics arm, responsible for resupplying Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 8’s flag ship, the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) and its allied ships, during CSG 8’s Composite Training Exercise (COMPTUEX) in the Atlantic Ocean, Sept. 30 – Oct. 26, 2021.
