Members of 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment (1-4CAV) “Quarterhorse,” 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division (1/1ID) prepare for reconnaissance operations during Combined Resolve XVI at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany, Dec. 5, 2021. The 1-4CAV Soldiers serve as 1/1ID command and control customer service agents, seeking out and identifying information about the battlefield— including enemy positions and composition.
