Despite pandemic challenges, Army Captain Matthew McDuffie, former commander of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), Garrison Command at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, and ASBP blood donor coordinator, helped make blood drives successful. Initially, ASBBC NCR leadership presented the trophy for winning the Army’s most donors in the 9th Annual Army vs Navy Blood Donor Challenge in 2019 to COL Druell (Garrison Commander at the time) , but he knew McDuffie put his hard work in and insisted we present it to him. From L-R, Navy HM2 Roger Ferguson, Army Col. Timothy Druell, Navy Lt. Kenneth Frati, Army Cpt. Matthew McDuffie, and CSM Jonathan Uribe (Garrison CSM at the time).
