U.S. Army Maj. Melinda F. Moyer, D.N.P., left, Director of Clinical Programs, New Jersey National Guard Joint Surgeons Office, Joint Force Headquarters-Army, is presented the Army Nurse Corps Association (ANCA) 2021 Military Nursing Evidence-Based Practice Award by retired Army Lt. Col. Mary Jo D’Agostino, at the Homeland Security Center of Excellence, Lawrenceville, N.J., Dec. 8, 2021. Moyer received the award for her work in fighting COVID-19 by collaborating with Yale University on the study “Medical surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 infections among military personnel”. This is the first time an Army National Guard Soldier has received this annual award, which is presented for contributions to military nursing knowledge and practice.
