Timothy Shields reunites with a loved one during the return of the Seawolf-class fast-attack submarine USS Connecticut (SSN 22) to its homeport in Bremerton, Washington, Dec. 21, following a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. The Pacific Submarine Force provides anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface ship warfare, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and early warning, special warfare capabilities, and strategic deterrence around the world to enhance interoperability through alliances and partnerships in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific Region.
