A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey with Heavy Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Rein.) lands on the flight deck of amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Philippine Sea, Jan. 26, 2022. Ospreys and other transport vehicles allow the MEU to make rapid, necessary movements in order to react to any crisis at a moment’s notice. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
