U.S. Navy Sailors aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) tow an MV-22B Osprey Tiltrotor Aircraft with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Reinforced), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), to prepare it for an air delivery operation, Philippine Sea, Jan. 28, 2022. Delivering mission essential supplies via airdrop sustains operations on the ground, keeping Marines in the fight for longer. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
