U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jaime G. Flores and Lance Cpl. Anthony E. Nolley-Crosson both Intel Analyst with Headquarters and Service Company, Third Battalion, Third Marine Regiment (3/3), study a topographical map to better understand land navigation at Landing Zone Quail, Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, California on Sep. 28, 2012. The Marines of 3/3 would have to show their comprehension of land navigation later on during Mountain ex. 12.7, a twelve day exercise designed to prepare the Marines of 3/3 both physically and mentally for high elevation environments.
