This small hand held unit is a prototype of the now commercially Available Self-Nulling Eddy Current Probe or more simply a Crack Finder. It is a battery powered unit that displays a bar graph of variable length which indicates the severity of the crack. The manufacturer is Kraut Kramer Branson of Lewistown, Penn, The operating instructions are very simple. They are printed on one 2" X 4" laminated card. No prior training is required.
