NORFOLK (Feb. 8, 2022) Vice Adm. James Kilby, deputy commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFFC), visits USS Normandy (CG 60) to observe a counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) demonstration during Exercise Solid Curtain 2022 on Naval Station Norfolk, Feb. 8. When combined with Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), C-UAS sensors and effecters can provide drone defense-in-depth with a common operating picture and integrated response. USFFC also serves as the Navy's Service Component Commander to both U.S. Northern Command and U.S. Strategic Command, providing naval forces in support of joint missions and Commander, Naval Forces Command and Commander, Naval Forces Strategic Command.
