Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro and Culinary Specialist Seaman Jeremiah Perez, from Niagara Falls, New York, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) supply department, cut a cake celebrating the Centennial of Aircraft Carriers in Ford’s forward wardroom, during a ship visit, March 10, 2022. While onboard Del Toro conducted an all-hands call with the crew to congratulate them on their success during the ship’s planned incremental availability, and met the Ford’s leadership to discuss Ford-class unique capabilities ahead of the ship’s 2022 deployment.
