CHARLESTON, S.C. — Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic’s Brooke Baker (left), project tester for the U.S. Marine Corps Communications Emitter Sensing and Attacking System (CESAS) II, adjusts system amplifiers while Shannon Rolader, Electronic Warfare Systems team tech lead, ensures proper antennae operations during recent developmental testing of the new team-portable variant of CESAS II at Poseidon Park in Charleston. NIWC Atlantic is the lead system integrator for the mobile, high-powered electronic attack asset, which enables Marines to achieve information superiority over the electromagnetic spectrum. Over the past year, the Expeditionary Intelligence Solutions Division at NIWC Atlantic incorporated design modifications on the new variant using constant feedback from radio battalion Marines who will eventually use the equipment. The successful developmental test supports future U.S. Marine Corps procurement and fielding decisions. (U.S. Navy photo by Joe Bullinger/Released)
