CAPT Walter Dalitsch III, NAMRU-D Commanding Officer, receives a coin from Air Force Col. Salvatore Pelligra, Course Director for the Advanced Aerospace Medicine for International Officers (AAMIMO) course during a visit Friday. Four aerospace medical officers from visited NAMRU-D to see first-hand how the Command supports human performance in extreme environments through a Command overview and tours of the Environmental Health Effects Laboratory (EHEL) and the Naval Aerospace Medicine Research Laboratory (NAMRL). In its 60th year, AAMIMO is an elite program for international military students under the U.S. Air Force School for Aerospace Medicine.
