U.S. Army Sgt. Mathew Koenig, Apache helicopter repairer, assigned to Delta Company, 1-3 Attack Battalion, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade zeros the flight control rigs on an AH-64D Apache helicopter at Lielvarde Air Base, Latvia, April 5, 2022. Zeroing of the rigs is important to ensure the accuracy of the helicopter’s response to the pilots’ controls. 12 CAB is among other units assigned to V Corps, America's Forward Deployed Corps in Europe that works alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners to provide combat-ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retains command and control for all rotational and assigned units in the European Theater.
