NAVAL BASE GUAM (April 12, 2022) - From left-to-right Lt. James Wu Zhu, U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) Victims Legal Counsel; Cristine Pervez-Cruz, NBG Sexual Assault Response Coordinator; and Mariana Duenas; NBG Civilian Victim Advocate discuss events for Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM). Each year the month of April is recognized as SAAPM, which is an annual campaign to raise public awareness about sexual assault and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence. While the month is dedicated to sexual assault awareness and prevention, NBG's Sexual Assault Prevention Office works year round and around the clock to highlight awareness.
