ESBJERG, DENMARK (April 6, 2022) U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Robert Burke, deputy commanding general for support, U.S. Army V Corps left, and U.S. Army Maj. Gen. James M. Smith, commander, U.S. Army 21st Theater Sustainment Command fifth from left, are observed discussing interoperability and logistics with Soldiers conducting an offload of U.S. Army V Corps military equipment and vehicles shipped on a U.K.-organized transport to a Danish port. V Corps is America's Forward Deployed Corps in Europe and works alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners to provide combat ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retain command and control for all rotational and assigned units in the European theater such as the 1st Infantry Division, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, 41st Field Artillery Brigade, and 4th Security Forces Assistance Brigade.
