220415-N-TH560-0206 SASEBO, Japan (April 15, 2022) Seaman Joshua Dilone, from Bronx, New York, enlisted in the Navy as part of the Professional Apprenticeship Career Tracks (PACT) program and earned the Operations Specialist rating, or occupation, April 15 during a Navy Personnel Command (NPC) Fleet Engagement Team event at Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan.
"I'm really excited... I wouldn't change a thing about this [process]," Dilone said after negotiating orders to the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111).
Enlisted community managers, rating specialists and detailers from NPC traveled from Millington, Tenn., to work one-on-one with PACT Sailors stationed at commands throughout Japan, providing career counseling, designating ratings and negotiating orders on site.
