The Cryogenic Infrared Spectrometers and Telescopes for the Atmosphere/Shuttle Pallet Satellite (CRISTA-SPAS) satellite on the Space Shuttle Atlantis' Remote Manipulator System (RMS) arm during STS-66. During this mission, the CRISTA-SPAS carried two spectrometers and telescopes to observe a variety of gases in the middle atmosphere and to measure amounts of nitric oxide and hydroxyl in the middle and lower atmospheres.
