During the Joint Humanitarian Operations Course at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, on Oct. 10-11, Angela Sherbenou, USAID OFDA senior adviser and U.S. Africa Command civilian/military adviser and John Zavales, USAID OFDA civilian/military humanitarian adviser, respond to a question on logistics from Doug Powell, USARAF G4. The two-day course was held so that U.S. Army Africa personnel can better understand the various roles, resources and requirements associated with disaster relief operations in Africa.
