The 332d Air Expeditionary Wing's Warrior of the Week for the week of May 23, is Staff Sgt. Elias Campos, Expeditionary Contracting Squadron contingency contracting officer.
As the Mission Support Services non-commissioned officer in charge, Campos manages the Government Purchase Card program for 23 organizations. He consolidated several contracts into one when the wing’s vehicle leases were expiring by eliminating redundancy and reducing administrative efforts and expenses for both ECONS and the 332d Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron. With multiple contracts, Campos helped the 332d Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron secure temporary heavy equipment for a recent large-scale project, allowed the 332d Expeditionary Medical Group to dispose of hazardous waste removal, ensured the removal of vegetation from the flight line and he secured the proactive acquisition of 332d Expeditionary Force Support Squadron facility supplies.
“I couldn’t have asked for better teammates or leadership,” said Staff Sgt. Elias Campos. “We are pretty close and they’ve all been very supportive. We all know what we do and are prepared to help one another, trusting each. Contracting touches every organization and that’s definitely something that we're proud of: we're here for everyone.”
Warrior of the Week is a competitive recognition program that highlights significant contributions made by individual Airmen who raise the Red Tail standard and enhance the mission and capabilities of the 332d Air Expeditionary Wing.
