220527-N-BR419-1075 PHILIPPINE SEA (May 27, 2022) Sailors conduct a foreign object and debris (FOD) walkdown on the flight deck of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Sailors routinely conduct FOD walkdowns on the flight deck and in the hangar bays to ensure the areas are clear of debris and potential safety hazards for pilots and maintainers. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
