IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. (May 26, 2022) Sailors assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron (MSRON) Three stand in formation during a post-deployment awards ceremony at Naval Outlying Landing Field Imperial Beach, Calif., May 26, 2022. MSRON Three Commanding Officer Cmdr. Douglas E. Cole recognized the hard work done by the squadron’s Sailors during their recent deployment by awarding 29 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and 30 letters of commendation. Cole also recognized 54 Sailors who earned their Expeditionary Warfare Specialist qualification and 10 Sailors who earned their Small Craft qualification. “You took ownership of the mission and executed,” said Cole. “You are responsible for the successful MSRON Three deployment to seven geographically dispersed areas around the world and the Force in Reserve personnel covered San Diego and other U.S. 3rd Fleet areas as tasked by Maritime Expeditionary Security Group (MESG) One and higher.” The Maritime Expeditionary Security Force (MESF) is a core Navy capability which reinforces blue-water lethality by protecting port and harbor infrastructure, securing high value assets, and dominating in the littorals with maritime security operations.
