    U.S. Navy

The guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94) and the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Vicksburg (CG 69) approach the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Big Horn (T-AO-198) for a replenishment at sea. Nitze and Vicksburg are deployed with the Enterprise Carrier Strike Group to the U.S. 5th Fleet and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. The U.S. Navy is constantly deployed to preserve peace, protect commerce, and deter aggression through forward presence. Join the conversation on social media using #warfighting.
