Before entering the shoot house, soldiers from Charlie Company practiced squad movements outside.
Idaho Army National Guard Soldiers from Charlie Company, 2-116th Combined Arms Battalion spent a portion of their annual training working inside the Orchard Combat Training Center Shoot House.
The Shoot House is not another range but a tactical training environment where soldiers sharpen their skills in entering and clearing a room and various passageways in tight, close quarters areas. The exercise requires squad leaders to clearly communicate directions to identify potential threats and respond strategically and effectively to those threats.
Idaho Army National Guard Soldiers are currently preparing to deploy in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
