Sergeant Vernon Kiester, a Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 469 mechanic, stands in front of one of the many helicopters he maintains aboard Camp Bastion, Aug. 29, 2012. Kiester recently noticed excess movement in the rotors of a helicopter he was repairing, which led to the discovery of an issue that could have potentially spelled catastrophe for the crew and the UH-1Y Huey.
