"I was born in El Monte, California, but grew up in Norwalk. I joined the Marine Corps to have opportunities that I couldn't get as a civilian. In this job, we are a family. Our job as parachute riggers requires us to be extremely responsible and reliable since we pack each other's parachutes. Jumping as a rigger has given me the ability to have confidence in myself and others. Here, age and rank doesn't divide us because at the end of the day, we must all be able to trust each other with our lives."
