Maj. Amanda Nerg, incoming 39th Contracting Squadron commander, renders her first salute to the squadron during a change of command ceremony at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, June 10, 2022. During the ceremony, Maj. Holland Canter relinquished command to Col. Angela Herron, 39th Mission Support Group commander, who then charged Nerg with leading the squadron. The change of command ceremony is a long-standing military tradition that represents the formal transfer of responsibility from one officer to another.
