Col. Reade Road, leading to the 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum Museum, is named after Philip Reade, commander of the 23rd Infantry at Madison Barracks in Sackets Harbor. Reade was pivotal in bringing largescale military training to Pine Plains, which would eventually become Fort Drum. (Graphic by Mike Strasser, Fort Drum Garrison Public Affairs)
