Hayden Farwell heard about USACE while working at Stockton State Park and had the opportunity to job shadow USACE park ranger Buck Walker. That’s when he realized he wanted a career with USACE. His USACE career started while in school on a six-month seasonal position for four summers before getting a pathways (internship/trainee) position for the past year. He recently graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in natural resource/forestry. He attended school 2-3 times a week and maintained a full-time work status of 40 hours. He said this is the best job on planet earth and has learned there are so many open doors within the USACE to find what you want to do and do it to 100%.
