JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va.— Rapid Support Soldiers joined hundreds of other service members from across Fort Eustis in a run and cake cutting event to commemorate the Army's 247th Birthday here June 14.
Gen. Paul Funk II, Commanding General, United States Army Training and Doctrine Command led the 3.1 mile installation-wide run.
The 597th Transportation Brigade Commander Col. Jeremy St. Laurent and Command Sergeant Major Command Sgt. Maj. Thomas Skelton led the 597th Transportation Brigade.
