Clara Whiting, Research Associate with Texas A&M’s Natural Resource Institute and James Peterson Biological Scientist assigned to Camp Bullis document the GPS coordinates as they prepare to install song meters May 16, 2022, at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, Texas.
These recording devices pick out all the sounds that are being made around the microphone. A computer program, Kaleidoscope Pro, allows the team to break the sounds into statistically similar groups from which we can then isolate the Golden-cheeked Warbler song.
