U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Adrian Martinez, a close-quarters battle (CQB) instructor with Training Company, Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment (MCSFR), stands as a position safety officer for Lieutenant Joshua Riley, a Special Response Team (SRT) team member with the Department of Energy (DOE), during a dynamic movement live-fire drill at IAMS Range, Naval Support Activity Northwest Annex, Virginia, June 22, 2022. MCSFR CQB instructors led various live-fire qualifications, movement to contact drills and guided discussions on CQB tactics and techniques for personnel with the DOE’s SRT, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Special Agents, the Chesapeake Police Department's Special Weapons and Tactics Team, and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency’s Emergency Response Team. MCSFR capitalized on the interagency training evolution to enhance CQB capabilities and knowledge for U.S. Marine CQB instructors and all participating agency operators further equiping anti-terrorism security forces for vital national assets.
