Left to right, Michael Jackson, builder/constructionman of East St. Louis, Ill., Petty Officer 3rd Class Andrew Heffron, steelworker of Eugene, Ore., and Petty Officer 3rd Class Jay Zimmerman, construction electrician of Cookeville, Tenn., of Naval Mobile Construction Batallion-40 work together to ensure measurements of the Obock Slaughter House framework are accurate, Jan. 12. The Seabees demolished the old Slaughter House because it was deemed unsanitary by a Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa Civil Affairs team. The new Slaughter House will provide the people of Obock a sanitary place to receive meat.
