MAYPORT, Fla. (July 9, 2022) Information Specialist 3rd Class Lyric Richardson, a native and resident of Las Vegas, Nevada and a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, is congratulated by Capt. Mark C. Risser, commanding officer, U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet reserve component, after being frocked to the rank of third class petty officer, July 9, 2022. “Proud to be in the Navy because my parents were in also and I’m following the tradition..” said Richardson. Richardson graduated high school from Samuel Wilson High School in Jacksonville, Florida. U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet supports U.S. Southern Command’s joint and combined military operations by employing maritime forces in cooperative maritime security operations to maintain access, enhance interoperability, and build enduring partnerships in order to enhance regional security and promote peace, stability and prosperity in the Caribbean, Central and South American region.
