On July 8, 2022, Deydre S. Teyhen was promoted to brigadier general at a ceremony on Joint Base San Antonio. Army Medicine congratulates its newest brigadier general: Deydre S. Teyhen. Left: Lt. Gen. R. Scott Dingle; right, Col. (Retired) John Teyhen. It was a promotion hard earned and well deserved. She is the first- physical therapist and active-duty Specialist Corps officer ever promoted to the rank of brigadier general in the U.S. Army. She has excelled in everything she has done in uniform, including being an outstanding leader and commander. She is known for her tremendous energy in service to Soldiers and for her leadership to Army Medicine — and that excellence continues. (Courtesy asset)
