The Skylab 3 Command Module, with Astronauts Alan L. Bean, Owen K. Garriott and Jack R. Lousma still inside, is hoisted aboard the prime recovery ship, U.S.S. New Orleans, during recovery operations in the Pacific Ocean. Earlier in the recovery operations a team of U.S. Navy swimmers attached the flotation collar to the spacecraft to improve its buoyancy.
