Capt. Peter Mosites, a Veterinarian with the 169th MDVSS who is attached to Task Force MED 374, gave a class on basic care and handling of Military Working Dogs (MWD) that may be injured while on duty. Capt. Mosites is charged with attending to coalition forces MWD that go out on patrol and detect explosives in CENTCOM’s area of responsibility. Nacho and his handler Sgt. Juan Carlos Lopez de Atalaya Rubio of the Spanish Contingencies Task Force 431 assisted by allowing some hands on training and familiarization when handling MWD.
