(May 5, 2022) Utilitiesman 2nd Class Adrian Montes prepares a Joint Chemical Agent Detector for a confidence test part of a Chemical, Biological and Radiological drill during Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 18’s Command Post Exercise (CPX). CPX is a training evolution conducted by Seabee battalions to assess their mission readiness exercise to prepare battalions for future operations. NMCB 18 Seabees are the expeditionary engineering and construction experts of the naval service. They provide task-tailored, adaptable and combat-ready engineering and construction forces that deploy to support Navy objectives globally.
