    The Smokey Hill River flows as a tributary for Kanopolis Lake, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District project on Aug. 10, 2022. Kansas City District and Northwestern Division personnel visited the lookout during Col. Van Epps' visit to the Kansas City District, which included tours of district programs and projects to meet with partners and district staff and to learn how the District is working with the Heartland.
