Chief aviation structural mechanic Francis "Mac" McNeil, a former Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 120 flight deck coordinator, gives his retirement speech Sept. 13 as he bids farewell to the Navy after 22 years of service. McNeil was severely injured four years ago while aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) when an F/A 18 Super Hornet landed wrong, snapping an arresting gear cable.
