6th Marine Corps Recruiting District Marines tour Fort Sumter as part of a new incentive the District Commanding Officer, Col. Lance J. Langfeldt, provided for the top performing recruiters, Charleston, South Carolina, Aug. 25, 2022. Langfeldt, gathered top performing 6MCD Marine recruiters to collaborate and enhance their recruiting methods for their respective recruiting stations. Langfeldt also introduced U.S. Marine Corps retired Col. Andrew Solgere, a national park ranger at Fort Sumter, who shared the American history of Fort Sumter and provided insight of his own recruiting experience as a previous commanding officer of 12th Marine Corps District.
