Service members, veterans, their families, and supporters gather for the Minnesota State Fair’s Military Appreciation Day Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in Falcon Heights. This year’s focus was to honor the thousands of employers of members of the Minnesota National Guard, reserves and their families. Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves, known as ESGR, is celebrating their 50th year of promoting cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee's military commitment. To mark the occasion, Minnesota Governor, and Commander-in-Chief of the Minnesota National Guard, Tim Walz signed a statement of support for ESGR, service members and their families. Members of Minnesota’s 34th Red Bull Infantry Division Band also performed sets both at Leinie Lodge and on the main stage in Dan Patch Park. #HatsOffToEmployers #MilitaryEmployers #MNStateFair22 (Minnesota National Guard photo by Sgt.
