Master Sgt. Terrell Costa, Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations departures section chief, demonstrates a reverse dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, Aug. 29, 2022. A reverse dignified transfer is conducted when fallen service members are prepared, casketed and ready for transport via military contracted air from the mortuary to their final resting place. Costa is deployed to AFMAO from the 87th Force Support Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. He is one of 10 deployed services specialists in the departures section.
