KINGS BAY, Ga. (Sept. 2, 2022) Lt. Julie Seiffert salutes Rear Adm. John Spencer, ceremoniously relieving him of his duties as he retires as the commander of Submarine Group Ten after 31 years of naval service, during a change of command ceremony held aboard the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Tennessee (SSBN 734) at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia. Rear Adm. Thomas R. “TR” Buchanan succeeds Spencer as the submarine group’s commander. The base is home to all east coast Ohio-class submarines.
