Ryan Pierce, executive officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG 82), Command Master Chief Sherita Jackson, Lassen’s senior enlisted leader, Rear Adm. Jim Aiken, commander of U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet and Cmdr. Christopher Turmel, Lassen’s commanding officer, pose for a photo aboard the ship during UNITAS LXIII, Sept. 6, 2022. UNITAS is the world’s longest-running maritime exercise.
