Lt. Gen. Stephen N. Whiting, Space Operations Command Commander speaks to Clear Space Force Station Members along with Brig. Gen. Samuel C. Keener, Deputy Director Space Operations, National Guard Bureau, and Chief Master Sgt. Jacob C. Simmons, Space Operations Command Senior Enlisted Leader, while visiting Clear Space Force Station to hear from the Clear Team members on their operations and wellbeing. Whiting shared his gratitude for the Air National Guard as team members as he listened to every team member serving alongside each other at Clear SFS. The Clear Space Force members provide strategic missile warning, missile defense, and Upgraded Early Warning Radar as an integral part of deterrence in support of Homeland Defense. Clear SFS is home to Arctic Airmen and Guardians assigned to the 13th and 213th Space Warning Squadrons, providing 24/7 missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness.
