ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 11, 2022) The Buddhist pennant flies for the first time in U.S. Navy history onboard the guided-missile destroyer USS McFaul (DDG 74), Sept. 11. The pennant flew during a Buddhist Dharma service, led by Navy Chaplain Lt. Saejeong Kim. U.S. Flag code stipulates that any church pennant be flown immediately above the ensign when a chaplain conducts religious services underway.
