Senior leaders from across 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia, check barracks facilities for mold and other maintenance concerns this week, following Soldiers voicing concerns to installation leaders and posting imagery of mold in rooms on social media. Fort Stewart and 3rd ID held a stand-down day with senior Noncommissioned Officers on Monday focused on assessing the levels of mold impacting unit footprints, addressing that mold, how to remediate, and to maintain an aggressive plan of action to ensure a “whole-of-community” effort to ensure the quality of life and living conditions Soldiers deserve.
