PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 02, 2022) –Brig. Gen. Ryan S. Rideout is greeted by Capt. Andria Slough upon arrival for a visit to amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), Sept. 02. The visit was an opportunity for Rideout to meet with Sailors and the currently embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit to discuss integration and bi-lateral training. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P.
