Crews with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District inspect newly placed concrete at the foot of the labyrinth weir at the Isabella Dam Safety Modification Project in Lake Isabella, California, Sept. 14, 2022. Crews are approaching completion of construction work on the project, which includes upgrades to the auxiliary and main dams, service spillway, emergency spillway and a new labyrinth weir. The project is designed to reduce flood risk for downstream communities including Bakersfield.
